Her presentations and workshops offer simple yet effective techniques that people can implement immediately to reduce their stress.  She has recently become involved in a mission to end human trafficking by bringing awareness to this issue and raising funds to support women and families affected by trafficking.  Currently, there are more slaves in the world than at any other time in history. Women, men and children are being held against their will and forced to work for the benefit and greed of other people. “The selling of bodies of women and children is the fastest-growing industry in the world, and an incredibly lucrative criminal industry, second only to drug trafficking ….” –Innocents at Risk

Human Trafficking often happens in plain sight and is happening in the United States today.  Here are some examples:

  • Farm owners keeping men as slave labor under the threats of deportation or of hurting their families
  • Household help being kept as prisoners
  • Hotel chains that ignore the fact that the sub-contractor who hires the maids is not paying them their wages.
  • Children being trafficked by their parents or guardians
  • Runaways picked up by predators and forced to prostitute themselves

Diana is hosting a special fundraiser and awareness event on July 23rd at 5:30 pm at AJ Palumbo Hall, Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA

Certified Reiki Master and Qigong Instructor Susan Amorose

Susan AmoroseSusan is a dedicated healer who is passionate about helping others claim responsibility for their own personal health and well being.  She is a fully certified and insured Reiki Master Teacher in the Japanese Usui Reiki Healing System, and a Medical QiGong Therapist.

Susan enjoyed a number of successful years in the corporate sector as a corporate communications specialist and professional writer.  She is the former owner of Executive Language Services, a firm that taught executives and other professionals English as a second language. Her own personal health and wellness journey led her to change careers and become a healer.  She understands that individuals and families do not have to be limited by traditional medical therapies.

REIKI (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word signifying the union of universal and personal energy. REI is the all-pervading, luminous, eternal energy field of Spirit. KI is the vital spirit energy close to and within the physical body. Focused caring touch, done by a trained practitioner, conveys Reiki energy to a client to enhance his/her natural healing process. This energy is accessible to anyone with healing needs.  Reiki Healing is the legacy of Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar and educator. A certified Reiki Healer can channel healing energy to another’s field either by light touch or slightly above the body for those not wishing physical contact.

MEDICAL QIGONG is an Eastern healing modality from China, dating back to the Zhou Dynasty over 6,000 years ago.  It’s roots are both martial and Classical Chinese Medicine and involves the practioner’s application of Qi to specified areas of the body to alleviate discomfort, support healing and promote vitality through clearing blockages, increasing energy flow, and tonifying the body and its organ systems.

QiGong practice involves a system of gentle movement and breath together with the cultivation of mind which resembles the more familiar practice of Tai Chi, although QiGong connects the student to the flow of earthly yin and heavenly yang energies directly to revitalize, rejuvenate and increase health and flexibility.  GROUP or PRIVATE instruction is available.

These therapeutic energy techniques support all levels and types of healing, including physical, emotional, and psychological, including:

  • relief of mental and emotional stress
  • deep relaxation
  • relief from pain
  • relief from chronic conditions
  • support for the recovery from addictions
  • sports injuries
  • acceleration of the healing process
  • increased efficacy of other medical therapies
  • a feeling of increased vitality and general well being
  • can decrease side effects of medications including chemo and radiation therapies
  • post-traumatic stress
  • migraine
  • and much more

If you think that you or your family members may benefit from a Reiki healing session or QiGong individual or group session, call 412.720.8709 or visit www.SusanAmorose.com.
